Minutes of MCCI board Concert sub-committee meeting on Wednesday July 7, 2004 Attendance, Jeff Moe, Mik Concert will be Saturday July 24 from 4pm - appx 9pm 1. Ticket Sales & handling of money Jeff Moe to handle all above and report to Veronica Tickets on sale at Jakes Tavern, Home Grown Notes, Turners Pizza, MCTV Studio, Montague Bookmill, Montague Mini Mart, Wendell Country Store, World Eye Bookshop and About Music. Note that there are no Millers Falls or Lake Pleasant sales points. $325 total rent for Shae. $190 due asap. 2. Publicity Jeff put up posters around TF and at all sales sites. Mik put up posters at Grange, Mini Mart & two at Bus Stop. Mik will get PDF from Ink and Paint and put up banner ad on website and post weekly "Press Releases" Mike will fax Press Release to various newspapers and radio stations Montague Reporter to put up 1/3 page ad in next two issues 3. Staff and Security Need 15 people. 5 of which must be security, and two for sales (CDs and baked goods) Need people to help clean-up afterwards, including bathrooms. Some hot dogs and burgers will be served to the volunteer staff and bands at the end of the show. Question: Will we have sodas? Question: Do bands expect to be fed during the show? 4. Technical (video and audio) Mike L's road kit will be needed. Question: Can Mike L participate? Question: Can we borrow Kat's camera? Kat is not available to participate. Bring plenty of power strips, cables, power cords. Four camera shoot: o SVHS camera on stage (live edit) o SVHS camera pointing at stage with road box mixer and SVHS deck (live edit) o High-8 camera roaming around on stage for intimate closeups (post edit) o MiniDV camera in "greenroom" for band interviews, and out front for pre-show line (post edit) We will be recording the entire show on MiniCDs for each band to take home, and on Mik's MP3 recorder for MCTV to make a concert CD for sale. ALL BANDS MUST SIGN AGREEMENT: MCTV keeps 100% of ticket sales, money made from videos sold, money made from concert CD sold. Each band will be provided a copy of their performance on MiniCD. Each band may sell their own CDs at the concert vending booth with a 25% per-CD service charge paid to MCTV. Each band will be fed after the show. 5. Clean-up o Cigarette buckets outside for pre-show line o Grill out back for band (hot dogs / burgers) o All volunteers that help in clean-up will be fed 7.
