Minutes of the MCCI Board Concert Sub-committee meeting, pt 2, July 13, 2004, 7:30pm

In attendance: Jeff Moe, Kit Henry, Mik Muller. Mary showed up at 8:00pm

Tickets:
Kit: 3 sold, 2 more coming from Kit's drummer. Hydraulic Sandwich to sell tickets too.
Jeff: Radio stations to begin advertising and ticket giveaways next week, just before concert
Mik: Will also get babysitter to get her friends to go. Drop off poster and inform of sales places

Publicity:
Mik: PDF received from Ink & Paint and will place banner ad on website asap
Mik: Still to fax press release
Mik: How do we get more publicity out to teens and young 20's? Where do they hang out and how do we get them informed?

Staff:
Jeff's friend from CSB (Connecticut School of Broadcasting), possibly for camera/mixer (or will this be Mik?)
Kit's friend "Afro" Shane for lights
Greg Stewart and maybe his brother Andy for security?
Veronica's son for security?
Off-duty cops for security?

Tech: 
2 bands on stage at all times: one playing, the other setting up or breaking down. Room to store three bands equipment backstage, leaving two bands with their equipment in cars or downstairs. It was determined that the first two bands would get their equipment on stage first, and the last three would store theirs backstage, with the third and fourth bands keeping theirs in cars out back, attended.

Six mic inputs on mixing board. 
"Pit" camera would also do video mixer.
Two on-stage cams would be wired into mixer.
Mini DV deck would be used to record evening for easier post-editing and higher quality master.

Food:
Mary will call board of health and verify our standing.
No cooked foods will be sold. Grill out back for bands and volunteers.
Various organizations have donated food or certificates, including Fosters, Big Y, Stop & Shop, etc.
Mary will call People's Pint for home-brew sodas.
Next and last meeting will discuss what food to get with donations.

Of note:
1. Mike Farrick is interested in joining the board to take Mary Drew's "Turners Falls" seat. Mary will become an "At Large" member since she is now a resident of Greenfield.

2. Mary and Jeff rewrote MCCI letter of request for donations. Jeff's title for the project is "Technical Director, Special Events"


Next meeting to be Wednesday July 21 at Brickhouse.
Concert follows three days later on Saturday the 24th.
