Week of January 16th-20th, 2017

New this week: January 5th Mascot Inquiry now available

Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial in Washington D.C.

We hope everybody's new year is going well. This Monday, January 16th is Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

The Gill-Montague School Committee's latest inquiry event into the Mascot-Logo took into consideration perspectives which support not changing the mascot/logo/nickname of the "Indians" at Turners Falls High School. The event featured speakers Ronald LaRoche, alumnus of the class of 1947, and former Professor Singleton of Boston College who is a Turners Falls resident. A recording of this event is viewable at montaguetv.org and will show on our TV channel on Sunday (1/15) at 2:30 PM and Wednesday at 11:00 AM. More programming to look forward to on TV this week:

  • Monday: Democracy Now, 8 AM. Montague Selectboard Meeting, 7 PM.
