Week of December 25th-29th, 2017

New this week: Holiday specials

We at Montague Community Television hope you are having a joyful holiday season, whatever you do.

This week on Channel 17 or on our website, montaguetv.org, you can watch the annual Welcome Yule performed at the Shea Theater--we now have the completed video available from 2017's performance. The Welcome Yule is a celebration full of story, dance and song; a theatrical representation of a village welcoming the solstice--the day that tells us the light will only grow and return from here. A promise of winter's eventual end, of spring and rebirth. This is a wonderful storytelling event you don't want to miss.

By the way, if you weren't able to catch this festival live at the Shea Theater, it will be put on again at at Northampton's First Night Celebration on Sunday, December 31st, at 2 P.M., First Churches--on the corner of Main Street and Gothic Street.

Another seasonal video to check out this week is the Western Mass Brass Band's Sounds of Christmas Concert, which was performed December 2nd in South Hadley; catch it on TV or online for an hour of holiday delights.

Finally, one more video to check out on MCTV is the Vaudeville Holiday Show Spectacular 2017, presented by the Shea Theater and Eggtooth Productions--two hours of talent and fun!

Something going on you think others would like to see? Get in touch to learn how easy it is to use a camera and capture the moment. (413) 863-9200, infomontaguetv@gmail.com, or stop by 34 2nd Street in Turners between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. We'd love to work with you!
